Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.3
Iron Tide Command drops you in charge of a small fleet and asks you to think, not just tap. Each mission is a compact puzzle of wind, range and positioning. Rush in and you'll lose ships; hang back and read the map, and suddenly you're winning battles you had no business winning.
The interface took me a session to warm up to, but once it clicked, the drag-to-plan movement felt natural. Missions are short enough for a quick game yet deep enough that I replayed several to find cleaner solutions.
Everything is local — no server matchmaking, no live opponents, just a solid single-player campaign and some standalone skirmishes. Great for anyone who likes chess more than button-mashing.
What we liked
- Thoughtful, positional battles
- Bite-sized missions
- No online dependency at all
